The work of renewal in Western New York will never be accomplished by strategy alone. From the beginning, the Church has depended on prayer as the foundation of its mission. Before plans are made, churches planted, or ministries launched, the people of God seek Him together.
Across Western New York, we believe the mission must begin here.
WNY Prays is a shared commitment among churches and believers throughout the region to seek God together in prayer. At the center of this effort is a collaborative vision for a continuous Canopy of Prayer covering Western New York.
Through this initiative, churches across the region commit to praying for a specific 24-hour period each month. As different congregations take their place in this rhythm, a collective pattern of prayer begins to form—one church handing the responsibility to another, creating an ongoing cycle of intercession for our communities. Each church participating is invited to pray in their own manner and custom, celebrating the diversity of the Church of WNY.
To aid in these efforts, there are a few resources available, including the use of the PrayWithUs app. The links below will guide you through the process of registering for a specific time and will provide some prayer prompts to help you steward your time.
Prayer reminds us that the mission ultimately belongs to God. As churches join together in this shared rhythm, we acknowledge that transformation does not begin with our efforts, but with His work among us.
